INU Division of Fine Arts International Screening Exchange

The Division of Fine Arts at Incheon National University (Chair: Kyung-ae Chang) will host the international screening exchange “Between Screens: Moving Images in Dialogue” in collaboration with the Royal College of Art in the United Kingdom and Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Switzerland.

This screening was planned as part of the video art course taught by lecturer Kyung-ran Ellie Heo of the Division of Fine Arts at Incheon National University. It is designed as a platform to expand creative exchange among art universities in Korea and abroad and to broaden discourse on experimental video art.

The screening program consists of two parts. Part 1, “Unsettled Senses,” presents works that explore sensation and rhythm, digital images, memory, and identity. Part 2, “Bodies After Breathing,” features video works that examine relationships among humans and nature, labor and the body, and technology and existence.

In particular, this program goes beyond a simple screening format and provides an opportunity for participating artists and audiences to share the creative process, the background of each work, and related ideas. Through the program, participants will experience meaningful international artistic exchange based on diverse perspectives and experiences.

Through this screening, the Division of Fine Arts at Incheon National University aims to strengthen its foundation for international academic exchange and provide an opportunity to enhance students’ experimental creative activities and global art education capabilities. In addition, by operating international programs in connection with local cultural and arts institutions, the event is expected to contribute to the revitalization of culture and the arts in Incheon.
