
INU Korean Language Institute 2026 Spring Semester Completion Ceremony
The Korean Language Institute under the Office of International Affairs at Incheon National University announced that it successfully held the completion ceremony for the 2026 Spring Semester Korean Language Training Program on the 19th.
A total of about 160 people attended the ceremony, including Hong Jin-bae, Vice President for International Affairs; Chae Sook-hee, Director of the Korean Language Institute; Korean language instructors; and trainees, celebrating the students’ efforts and achievements throughout the semester.
During the ceremony, completion certificates were awarded, followed by a video showcasing Korean language program activities, as well as the presentation of Perfect Attendance Awards and Academic Excellence Awards. University souvenirs were also given as prizes, adding further meaning to the event.
The second part of the event heated up the atmosphere with K-POP dance and singing performances by the trainees. A farewell speech delivered by a representative trainee from the advanced class sincerely expressed the growth and gratitude experienced during the Korean language learning journey, receiving enthusiastic responses from attendees.
Hong Jin-bae, Vice President for International Affairs, encouraged the trainees by saying, “Learning a new language and adapting to an unfamiliar environment is not easy, but I sincerely applaud your steady efforts and passion, which have led to today’s meaningful achievement.”
Meanwhile, the Korean Language Institute at Incheon National University is expanding international cooperation in Korean language training and exchanges with overseas high school students through its recent MOU with the New Taipei City Department of Education in Taiwan. It is also strengthening its position as a global hub for Korean language education, including its designation as a new domestic test center for the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK).
